How to use the comparison tool
- Export or copy your follower and following lists using a method you trust.
- Paste each list into its matching box. One username or profile URL per line works best.
- Select Compare lists to see the difference in both directions.
Entries are normalized by removing an optional @ sign and Instagram profile URL, then comparing usernames without regard to letter case. Duplicate lines count once.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool log in to Instagram?
No. It only compares text that you paste into the page and never asks for your password.
Are my lists uploaded?
No. The comparison runs locally in your browser. Clear the fields when you finish if you are using a shared device.
Why might the result differ from Instagram?
Lists can change after export, and private, deactivated, or restricted accounts may not appear in the data you copied.
